課程概述

Introduction of physical, chemical, and biological techniques for environmental sampling, sample preparation, and instrumental analysis. Focuses on metals and small organic molecules at trace levels. Advanced techniques, such as detection of microorganisms, molecular approaches, and mass spectrometry, will be discussed. 

課程目標
Understand frequently-used modern techniques for environmental measurement and analysis. Students should be able to understand most determinative methods in papers and can judge if the methods are appropriate for the studies. 
課程要求
There are two mid-term exams and a final exam, which account for 1/3 of the final scores. In addition to the course content lectured in the classes, students are expected to read more relating articles, especially those portions they are not so familiar with. After all, this is a graduate-level course.
